American Politics in a Nutshell


As the 2012 presidential election approaches, here is a quick primer on the general differences between our two main political parties.

DEMOCRATS: favor big government, public sector jobs, strict regulations on corporations, higher taxes, more socialized government-run services. Leans socialist/capitalist.

REPUBLICANS: favor big corporations, small/limited government, little-to-no economic regulations, corporate private sector jobs, lower taxes, few-to-no federal government-run services. Leans corporatist/monopolist/capitalist.
