Tip of the Day 8: Human Life Value

The Value of a Human Life is currently $5.8 million according to the U.S. government. This is a theoretical statistical valuation representing how much money it is worth spending in order to save an average hypothetical American’s life. This measurement is not used in terms of a specific individual and his or her specific situation; it is instead used as a general measurement when speaking about hypothetical loss of lives.
